Marksman Award Scheme
The UBC Marksman Award Scheme is based upon the NRA pistol qualification programme. The aim of the award is to encourage pistol enthusiasts to improve their multi shot pistol handling skills and marksmanship.
The scheme consists of 6 awards, of increasing levels of difficulty. Participants cannot shoot more than one level in the same month and each level must be completed before moving to a higher one. The scheme is structured so that all participants regardless of their level of ability have a reasonable chance of attaining an award and are challenged to stretch themselves further to develop their skills. Any UBC member or UBC forum registrant can participate. This is an open scheme and participants can start on the first level at any time. When commencing a particular level a start date must be emailed to the award manager who will maintain a database of member’s achievements that can be viewed by all via the competitions website. All participants will receive certificates. When you have attempted one of the pistol marksman awards, email the following information to Jef Lockyer at (email UBCAPMA@hotmail.co.uk)
